Who controls your data
Professor Mohamed A. Imam is the data controller for personal information submitted through moimam.co.uk. Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@moimam.co.uk.
Information collected
The contact form may collect your name, email address, phone number, enquiry type and message. Please do not include detailed medical information, scans, NHS numbers or other clinical records. If you voluntarily include health information, it is treated as special category personal data.
Why information is used and the lawful basis
Enquiry information is used only to review, route and respond to your request. Ordinary enquiry data is processed where necessary to take steps at your request and/or for the legitimate interest of responding to professional and clinical enquiries. Where you voluntarily provide health information through the form, it is handled only to understand and route the enquiry and on the basis of your explicit consent given with the form; you may withdraw that consent by contacting us.
Storage and retention
Messages may be delivered to the practice email account. A delivery-fallback copy may be stored in an access-controlled folder outside the public web root. Server fallback copies are automatically deleted after 90 days. Email correspondence may be retained for up to 12 months where needed to manage the enquiry, unless a longer period is required by law or the enquiry becomes part of a clinical record held by a healthcare provider under that provider’s own retention policy.
Processors and external services
The site uses its web-hosting provider and email-delivery infrastructure to operate the site and deliver enquiries. Google Fonts may receive basic technical request information when font files are requested. The site uses first-party, cookieless visit analytics stored on the same hosting account; it does not use advertising cookies. Links to healthcare providers, Doctify, social networks and other external sites are governed by those organisations’ own privacy notices.
Your rights
Subject to UK data-protection law, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is relied upon. Contact hello@moimam.co.uk to exercise a right.
Complaints
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how personal information is handled. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ for current contact routes.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, restricted storage directories, request validation, CSRF protection, a honeypot and rate limiting on the enquiry form. No internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure, so sensitive clinical documents should be sent only through a clinic-approved secure route.
